at a rate of US$139 for one adult and US$149 for 2-4 adults. The rate is good for stays beginning as early as July 14th and running through July 23rd. Reservations must be made by June 25th to guarantee this rate. All of the rooms are suites with a bedroom and separate sitting area and include a full breakfast. You must make the reservations through +1-800-362-2779 to get this special rate. The hotel is within a few miles of both the BWI airport and the BWI Amtrak train station. A free shuttle is available from both the airport and the train station. Call upon arriving to be picked up by the shuttle. This is with walking distance of the Embassy Suites and also has a free shuttle from the BWI airport and BWI amtrak train station (call the hotel for a pickup).
The hotel is a short ten minute drive away from the UMBC Technology center, where the meeting will be held. No public transportation is available but we will provide a buses in the morning to bring people from the hotel to UMBC and at the end of the day to take people back to the hotel. The taxi fare between the hotel and UMBC should be about $10 and between the hotel and downtown Baltimore should be $15-20. If you have a car, there is is ample free parking at both the hotel and the UMBC Technology Center.
If you are planning on visiting Washington DC either before or after the FIPA meeting, here are some inexpensive hotels to consider.
Tabard Inn Hotel -- For a touch of old Washington, try this hotel located in a charming historic house with 40 unique guest rooms decorated with 19th-century antiques.
